The biggest impact for me as a special education teacher is the visuals. That alone would have taken me 3 to 4 hours just to create. Now I just prepare for read-alouds.

"I finally feel like I understand how to use everything the way it's meant to be used. The Print, Prep, and Teach pieces made a huge difference..."

What's actually changed for you since?
Before, I honestly didn't feel like I fully understood how to use the curriculum. I would spend so much time trying to make it work, printing visuals, figuring out the books, or sometimes not even using parts of the curriculum at all because I didn't have the visual supports I needed. Most of my weekends and late nights were spent creating visuals from scratch and trying to piece everything together in a way that made sense. It was exhausting, and I never felt fully confident that I was doing it "right."
Now, with the Vault, I finally feel like I understand how to use everything the way it's meant to be used. The Welcome section, especially the "Print," "Prep," and "Teach" pieces, made a huge difference. It showed me exactly what to do with the visuals and how to set up things like my focus wall and literacy displays in a way that actually supports my teaching.
Because of that, I feel so much more confident. Instead of stressing about what I'm going to teach or how to put it all together, I can focus on what really matters: individualizing for my students and meeting their needs. That shift alone has made such a big difference in my classroom.
Which parts made the biggest difference?
The part that made the biggest difference for me was the Question of the Day visuals. Before the Vault, I was simplifying everything into basic yes/no questions because I thought that's what my Pre-K students needed. Looking back, I realize I was unintentionally dumbing down the curriculum and missing opportunities for deeper thinking and language development.
The visuals completely changed that for me. They helped me see how everything flows together in a developmentally appropriate way for Pre-K students. Now, instead of isolated activities, I'm guiding my students through a connected learning experience where they're hearing, seeing, and using the same language all day long.
My students are talking more, using richer vocabulary, and making stronger connections. And for me, it's taken away so much of the guesswork. I'm no longer overplanning or second-guessing. I feel confident that what I'm doing is intentional and meaningful.
How has it impacted your students?
The impact on my students has been huge. Now, my students don't just interact with the material during whole group. They carry it into their play. I see them going back to the visuals on their own during center time, pointing to them, talking about them, and even "reading" the books using the picture supports.
Because the visuals are consistent and accessible, my students feel more confident participating. Even my quieter students or those still developing language skills are more engaged. They can use the visuals to support their thinking and communication. It's not just passive listening anymore; they're actively involved.
Overall, they are much more engaged during the study. They're asking more questions, making connections, and using the vocabulary throughout the day, not just during the lesson. As a Pre-K teacher, that kind of carryover into play is exactly what you hope for, and the visuals have really made that possible.

"It's been such a relief. Not just in my planning, but in how I feel walking into my classroom each day. I feel more grounded, more prepared, and more confident..."

What were you struggling with before?
Before the Vault, I honestly felt overwhelmed more often than I wanted to admit. I cared so much about creating meaningful, engaging experiences for my preschoolers, but I was constantly piecing things together late at night or in small pockets of time. I knew visuals mattered, especially for this age, but trying to create everything on my own felt exhausting. There were moments I questioned if I was doing enough, even though I was giving everything I had.
What's actually changed for you since?
It's been such a relief. Not just in my planning, but in how I feel walking into my classroom each day. I feel more grounded, more prepared, and more confident in what I'm offering my students. Instead of feeling scattered, I feel calm and intentional. I'm not carrying that constant pressure anymore, and that's made me a better teacher for my children.
Which parts made the biggest difference?
The visuals themselves, and how seamlessly they all connect, have made the biggest difference. There's something really powerful about not having to second-guess if what I'm using is "right" or effective. Everything works together in a way that just makes sense, and that clarity has changed how I teach. It's taken away so much of the guesswork and replaced it with confidence.
How has it impacted your students?
This is the part that gets me the most. I've seen my students become more confident, more independent, and more willing to take risks. Children who used to hang back are now participating. They have something to hold onto, something that helps them make sense of their world. It's not just about engagement. It's about them feeling capable, and that's been really emotional to witness.
How many hours a week has it saved you?
At least 3 to 5 hours a week, if not more. But honestly, it's not just the time. It's the mental and emotional energy it's saved me. I'm not ending my days feeling drained from trying to do it all anymore. That shift alone has been huge.
Have you noticed a difference with visual support?
Yes, completely. When they have visuals, everything feels more accessible to them. They're less frustrated, more confident, and more willing to try. They understand what's expected, they can express their ideas more clearly, and they rely less on constant adult support. Watching that independence grow has been one of the most meaningful changes for me.

"I am able to print out all the questions of the day and vocabulary words before I start the study. It keeps me organized and the words with pictures is awesome..."

I love your resources. I have used them since I joined. As far as prep and planning goes, I am able to print out all the questions of the day and vocabulary words before I start the study. It keeps me organized and the words with pictures is awesome for my class.
I use the study banners at my door and on my KWL charts to identify the study. The students have the A to Z books and numbers easily accessible in my writing center or library and they use them with every study. They learn new vocabulary and copy environmental print with the books.
The Class Book is something that I have modified and use for my class every year with a copy in the library and digitally. I am so thankful that I have lifetime access because the real photos have been added and you have many new and updated studies that I haven't printed yet. I can always find something new that I can use or modify from your ideas.
Thank you for your care and dedication to help us with the Creative Curriculum studies.

"I had no idea what studies were or how to manage a preschool classroom with 20+ children. The classroom was chaos. Then I found the Vault..."

Before I had access to the Vault, I had previously worked with infants and toddlers for years. I had just finished a practicum in preschool, and I decided I wanted to try my hand at becoming a preschool teacher. My CDA was in infant and toddler care. I had no idea what studies were or how to effectively manage a preschool classroom with 20+ children. I was overwhelmed and scared to fail.
The classroom was a mess, and there had been no consistency there for months. I could see its effects in the behaviors: children jumping off shelves, running around without socks or shoes, flipping tables, throwing chairs, hitting, kicking, spitting, and biting. I was absolutely mortified. I spent so much time questioning myself. Why did I decide to get myself into this mess?
I began searching for resources on the Creative Curriculum and its studies. I came across your resources on Teachers Pay Teachers. I finally saw the light. This was everything I was missing. Then I saw the link to your website, and the Vault was an option for purchase. I didn't think twice. I NEEDED these resources. They were real photos of real items that correspond with the studies. It was everything I wanted to make for my classroom, but I knew I would never have the time to complete it.
The relief I felt when I saw that the Vault included all of the resources for the studies. All of my stress began to melt away. I immediately began printing and laminating items. I spent weekend after weekend, cycling through each section, excitedly imagining all of these different resources the children could actually benefit from. Suddenly, without all the panic and feelings of overwhelm, I could finally create a plan of action to tackle the chaos and bring some consistency to the class.
It didn't happen overnight, but slowly, day after day, being consistent and utilizing my resources from the Vault began to settle the chaos. I saw the children begin to use their critical thinking skills. Their language exploded. Their excitement for the question of the day quadrupled. Instead of flipping tables, they wanted to sit at them and flip through the numbers or vocabulary flashcards. They wanted to look at the real items and find connections to them in the classroom and beyond.
Chaos turned into connections. Connections led to learning, and SO many behavioral changes. A once 2-minute circle time slowly grew each day. The children looked forward to answering the question of the day and figuring out which direction the study would take.
With a constant staff shortage and an inability to secure proper planning time, the Vault has probably saved me months of time. Months of creating my own resources. Months of researching ideas for each study, as I had no idea what to include or what to plan. Months of overwhelm and dread.
Overall, the Vault enabled me to be present for the children, and that was the real changing factor for the classroom. The children weren't feeling my stress or overwhelm. They were experiencing a teacher who was overly excited and had fun activities. The children no longer cried to go home, but wanted to stay longer at school.
I finally became a safe space for every child who walked into my room. They could finally breathe and be their truest selves. I created the strongest bonds I have ever had with the children and their families. It was the most challenging, yet beautiful experience of my life, and it's all thanks to the Vault.

"The biggest impact for me as a special education teacher is the visuals. My students rely on them, and that has saved me so much time from having to create vocabulary words for the units..."

I discovered the Vault at the beginning of the pandemic when we started remote learning. I needed something to present to my preschoolers that would represent the units and keep them engaged while online. I had the stories ready to go live, but I needed visuals to complement the rest of the unit. This made it very easy for me to prepare the lessons during that time.
As the vault began expanding and we returned to the classroom, we continued to use the PowerPoint presentations and the visuals we now included, like visual vocabulary cards and number cards we could post in our classrooms. What was very helpful were the supplemental activities that followed the counting, patterns, letters, and seek-and-find. They are flexible; you can use them for small-group or independent activities.
The biggest impact for me as a special education teacher is the visuals. My students rely on them, so that has saved me so much time from having to create vocabulary words for the units. That would have taken me at least 3 to 4 hours just to create visuals, and another 3 to 4 or more hours a day to create PowerPoints and visuals. Now I just prepare for the read-alouds and add any slides I need, such as a schedule or calendar.
With the visuals, my students can understand the questions being asked and know what the vocabulary words mean. They can respond to the questions by focusing on those visuals. The vault has been very helpful as it has developed more resources.

"Living in the Middle East, where I was one of the only schools using a Creative Curriculum approach, I relied heavily on the Vault to guide my practice..."

What were you struggling with before?
Before joining the Vault, planning large group studies was time-consuming and often required building resources from scratch. Living in the Middle East, where I was one of the only schools using a Creative Curriculum approach, I relied heavily on the Preschool Prep Club to guide my practice, so I knew the Visual Vault would be valuable.
What's actually changed for you since?
Since joining, everything has become significantly more efficient. I can immediately understand each study and prepare lessons with ease, without needing to spend hours going through planning documents. It has made setting up the classroom and preparing materials far quicker, and I've also been able to confidently reuse studies, which has improved consistency in delivery.
How has it impacted your students?
The impact on students has been clear. They are far more engaged when visual supports are used, and the visuals help them access learning more independently and confidently.
How many hours a week has it saved you?
The Vault saves me around 5 to 8 hours a week in planning and preparation, which I now spend directly on improving classroom experiences.
Cathy has also been consistently helpful and responsive, and the ideas and discussions on the portal are a valuable part of the programme. Overall, the Visual Vault has been an invaluable resource: high-quality, child-friendly, and a real game changer in my teaching practice.
